Another year done

It was not until I logged on to the old fb and saw that someone has started a blog..... Wait... I think I have one of those!! And as I click follow... It all came back!
So Christmas is here again and since last year I have.....
1) moved
2) got a new job
3) made some new friends
4) colored my hair
5) found the love of my life, my dog milo
6) brought a new car
7) smashed a car into a powerpole
8) brought another car!

What an exciting year... So here is to change!

I remembered my log in

I Had a little brain wave today. I have a blog that has not been undated since Christmas! It is now ANZAC day and 4 months of blog has not been written!

Today I am grateful for:
1) the ANZAC's.... Needs no explanation!
2) 1000 awesome things... I didn't know about this till recently (and realized my blog was slightly similar- just not as well written, or no where near as funny as Neil's). I strongly suggest you jump on board! He's awesome!
3) a sunny day in which you can get the mountain of laundry done that had piled up in the laundry!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter and a good ANZAC day! I went to the dawn service and ate so many Anzac bikkies!

so that went well

the whole blogging thing... not working out for me. I dont know what i thought i would get out of it, but hey... i get to be tremendously happy! 

Just got back from boxing and it was awesome! needed it after a long day at work!

not much else is news... just getting ready for christmas (or more so the christmas parties that come a long!). Christmas parties with silly themes, lots of food and... great... company! this year... bogan wedding and i am on a massive mad hunt for a bad taste bridesmaid dress! trust me its hard that in sounds, given that i have until the 17th! 

anyway i everyone is well and happy as Larry! Gets you thinking... who is Larry?... and why the hell is he so happy? 

i bet he found the bad taste dress that i am looking for!

today brings....The boss' birthday and that can only mean two things... an extended morning tea and cake! I spent last night baking cup cakes and then piping icing and cutting out beautiful decorations, all for what, to be nervous about other people eating my cupcakes and not liking them! But the other cakes were amazing and today... i am grateful for my boss' birthday!

As strange as it is... i am grateful that it is raining. Firstly, everyone at work knocked off early (bar me), so i got plenty of work done! (worked for my wage today thats for sure!) and my veggie garden and freshly planted raspberries are getting a good drink. Will have to pull out the big guns tomorrow and lay lots of snail bail!... rain also means... the bf is home tonight!

 and lastly... grateful for fresh asparagus. cant really expand on this... its just amazing!

my journey begins

Well... my first blog... my last maybe? lets hope i can stay dedicated enough to continue this rant about a happy life!

So, jump aboard for this thrilling roller coaster of a blog, ok... maybe not so much a roller coaster, but definitely a theme park (i'm thinking like fairy floss-- because fairy floss is fun).

This blog is going to put a positive spin on life. Lets stop worrying about the little petty things and be grateful for the tiny things that bring a smile to your face. Lets be like children on their first day of school and be ridiculously excited for the day that is ahead. Lets get excited over what is in our lunch box, and the e-mail we get to send... oh, don't forget about that big meeting we have with the boss... there might be cake!

Each day i plan to provide three things i am grateful for.... regardless of how small and minor they may seem... i am grateful!-- and you should be to!

Today i am grateful for...

1. The funny kid trying to copy me at boot camp! While i was was working my ass off, doing the 100th push up, i look across the park and there stands a 5 year old... trying to copy us! She made me laugh and forget how saw my arms were... and that i still have 40 minutes to go!
2. The $8 Grapes I got at the supermarket... they may be expensive fruit... but they sure are yum... and that reminds me... GRAPES! 
3. Mail! i mean... who doesn't love getting mail. i find myself signing up to mailing lists, just so i can feel important enough to receive mail other than my bank statements and phone bill. Most recently... it was a winery mailing list (not that i need another winery sending me propaganda!). I did however, get a parcel today... but not even for me... xmas present for dad... but still... mail is mail.
